Will they be emotionally closed off??

To really appreciate the humor of our sacrament meeting experience you need to understand a critical parenting issue for Quentin Sr. Daddy does not like the sound of crying. In his defense our girls do tend to wail like...um...girls when they get hurt, but it really drives him crazy. Whenever they come running to us wailing like they are about to die because of some little bonk or scrape Daddy starts the consolation session with yelling at them to "stop crying". Obviously they don't often go to daddy for comfort - but that is besides the point.

During church yesterday I took Q (Quentin JR) out to get a drink during sacrament. While we were gone the high counsel speaker was telling a really moving story and Daddy had teared up. When we got back near the end of the story Q sweetly asked "why crying daddy" Daddy explained that the story was really nice. At which point Q very loudly and very forcefully demanded "stop crying daddy, stop". Needless to say daddy and I spent the remainder of the HC talk trying to curb our laughter.

  1. Like Father, like son. That is hilarious! I would have loved it if it would have happened when I was there. I would have died laughing.
