Tuesdays and Thursdays

Tuesdays and Thursdays are usually a pretty tough day in our house. Which is funny since it is the day that our Nanny Cecilia comes so that I can work from my bedroom. The tough part starts at 3:30 when I get off work and the kids decide to get out the entire days worth of whining, complaining and fighting that they apparently feel I missed out on when I was in my bedroom. It is sad to note however that I have complete control over the way that the day goes (sad because it is not often that I gear myself up to make it as great as it could be). Today I decided that if I spent the last 10 minutes of "work" time getting stuff ready to greet my children it would go much better. As soon as my work time was done I came out of the room dancing and singing and chasing the kids around with the camera. They of course loved it and let me even quietly go post the pictures here (after a couple of backscratches/rubs, and a game or two of hungry hungry hippos). Funny how with just a little effort to make sure they feel like I missed them while I was "away" they can keep all the whining and crying to themselves and are now happily playing together. Now I have happy kids AND a clean house. What more could a mommy want.

Mad faces!
I love this picture of Isaac not because of what is in the picture but because of what happened right after. you can see Isaac's feet placed solidly on the ground and just after I took the picture he scooted himself right out by pushing off of his heals and sliding on his back. Yesterday morning he managed to make it all the way across the living room and I found him behind the rocker recliner chewing on the fabric. He can't roll over yet, but he can navigate a room - weird kid.

  2. I love the picture of Isaac and Q. They have both grown up so much in the last 2 months. Love the orange onesie Isaac is wearing. If only we had enough energy to make everyday like that. You're good about that.
